Tahoe was great this year, especially since we were there for 2 weeks. I don't remember that I've actually ever been on vacation for 2 weeks. Probably as a kid. But 2 weeks is a definate necessity when you're an adult. The weather was perfect up there too. It was warm enough that you wanted to be in the pool, but not so warm that you HAD to be in the pool all day long. We did have a few days of smokey skies from the fires, but for the most part it was clear and beautiful. And I did go kayaking, with Jill, for the first time ever. And that was actually really fun.
Here's Dakota having a great time. He loves Tahoe cause he gets to go swimming every morning, and man, can this dog swim. I'm sometimes afraid he won't come back, he goes out so far.
We did take a boat ride out onto the lake, which was really exciting for Ethan. Of course we let him drive a little bit, and he thought that was cool. He even jumped into the lake with his dad, which I was totally amazed that he did. This kid has no fear.
Here is Ethan swimming without any help. He's really become comfortable in the water. He doesn't want to be held, or to hold on to anything. He just wants to try and swim. And he loves being thrown in the water. He's learned to hold his breath and close his eyes. Its just great. I'm so proud of him.

Aw, all of the pictures are great! Where do you guys stay when you're up there for that long? Somebody's cabin?
